Chicago Tribune Endorses Raja for Congress

“What really set him apart is a solid, enthusiastic grasp on issues”
SCHAUMBURG, Ill., (October 10, 2016) – The Chicago Tribune editorial board today endorsed Raja Krishnamoorthi for Congress as a “good fit for the 8th District” that includes west and northwest Chicago suburbs, writing that “what really sets him apart is a solid, enthusiastic grasp on issues, from immigration to the war on Islamic State.”
The Chicago Tribune added that Krishnamoorthi is “particularly good on jobs and the economy. Thousands of high-tech factory positions go unfilled, he notes, due to holes in the education system that Washington fails to fill: ‘At the federal level we spend $18 billion across 47 different programs for what? I’m not sure.’ He’d send that money back to the local level to invest in community colleges.”
In its editorial, the Chicago Tribune wrote that Raja’s “resume is a good balance of business, government and political experience” in describing his service as a former deputy treasurer for Illinois and assistant Illinois attorney general, along with his work as a small business leader now running two high-tech businesses in the national security and renewable energy sectors.
