Congressman Raja Celebrates Slate of Victorious AAPI Candidates

Congressman Raja appeared on WBBM News Radio this week to celebrate the Illinois primary victories of Asian American candidates that he supported with his endorsement. Congressman Raja told reporters: “What’s very interesting is that Asian Americans are really finding their political voice. They’re voting in bigger numbers, they’re getting involved in political causes, and of course, they’re running for office and they’re winning. Just in the General Assembly alone, we have Kevin Olickal, Nabeela Syed, Hoan Huynh, Sharon Chung, Janet Yang Rohr, Theresa Mah, all of whom won their primaries.”
