The Congressman also appeared on WGN to discuss recent developments in the January 6th investigation and the subpoena of the former president. The Congressman told hosts, “Yesterday he, even before being served with the subpoena, put out a fourteen page response to the public announcement that he was going to be served with the subpoena. He not only double and tripled down, he may have quadrupled down on the ‘Big Lie’ that there was widespread fraud in the 2020 election and he called the insurrectionists from January 6th “great American patriots,” these are the people he wants to pardon if he gets elected to the presidency again.”
