Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi chairs subcommittee hearing on vaccination rates

Congressman Krishnamoorthi recently chaired a subcommittee hearing about what has or has not worked to overcome vaccine hesitancy. The Congressman reiterated his concern that “Nationwide more than 20% of all adults and children over the age of 12 have not yet received even one dose of vaccine.”

During Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Dr. Ngozi Ezike’s testimony, they emphasized the importance of local efforts directed at communities where vaccination rates are low and proactively combatting vaccine misinformation. “This provides very useful feedback as to what might be working, what could use tweaking and what might not be working,” said the Congressman.
