PLANNED PARENTHOOD ACTION FUND ENDORSES RAJA FOR CONGRESS
In receiving the endorsement, Raja said, “I’m honored to receive support from one of the pre-eminent organizations in America defending women’s reproductive rights and promoting women’s health care. As a husband and as a father of a daughter, these issues are personally important to me. I will always be a staunch advocate for women and their health care and reproductive rights.”
The son of immigrants, Raja grew up in Illinois. After college and law school, he became issues director for Barack Obama’s successful U.S. Senate campaign. He also served as a founding prosecutor in Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s anti-corruption unit.
A lifelong progressive, Raja is running for Congress to stand up for middle class families and fight against attempts by House Republicans to diminish women’s reproductive rights and to cut Social Security and Medicare that are benefits his parents and millions of other Americans rely on.
