Raja Krishnamoorthi’s Women for Raja committee formed to amplify Raja’s message on women’s issues including equal pay and reproductive rights.
Raja’s wife, Priya, chairs the group. On the launch of Women for Raja, Priya said, “I am proud to support my husband’s campaign for Congress by chairing Women for Raja, and it’s an honor to serve on this committee with so many distinguished women. In Congress, Raja will fight to raise the minimum wage, ensure women’s reproductive rights, and guarantee access to paid maternity leave and affordable child care, which are priorities for both women and working families in the 8th District.”
Responding to the announcement, Raja said, “I am excited to have the support of Women for Raja. From the very beginning, our campaign has fought for a woman’s right to earn equal pay for equal work and to make healthcare decisions free from political interference.”
